Hip Licks for Saxophone is intended to aid saxophonists in honing their jazz language skills by providing a diverse set of mainstream jazz vocabulary (swing/bop/post-bop) that navigates chord changes seamlessly and showcases well on the instrument.

Think of Hip Licks for Saxophone as a musical reference tool, akin to a compendium of exceptional licks in all twelve keys, readily accessible whenever required. Opening the application at any page allows immediate playability.

Seeking to elevate your performance to a polished professional level, especially on intricate keys and chord progressions? Hip Licks for Saxophone is an invaluable asset that offers insights into expert approaches to tackle challenging musical scenarios effectively.

Custom User Interface

This application boasts a bespoke user interface, making navigation intuitive and enjoyable. Upon launching the app, a menu window appears, offering the choice to read through the entire content of Hip Licks sequentially without the play-along tracks or to access each set of licks with their corresponding play-along tracks. Automated page turns synchronize with the play-along track.

To begin playing a sax demo track, simply tap the saxophone icon in the lower left corner of the display, triggering immediate playback.

To initiate a rhythm-section-only track, tap the drum icon located at the lower right corner of the display, starting playback instantly.

Special Features of Hip Licks for Saxophone by Greg Fishman:

<li>168 Unique Hip Licks tailored to each key based on ideal timbre, register, and playability on the saxophone. Each lick is distinct – the C7 lick varies from the B7 lick and so forth.</li>
